DEPICT EVALUATION

Evaluation

In our production for our DepicT! Project I felt I took an active role in the group to help film and edit the short film. In the early stages, we decided to draw our inspiration from the T.V show “The Office” and to use its format with our short film. We chose to take this approach, as it was different from many other short films submitted to the DepicT! Competition. During pre-production, we decided that the rough plot would be an amateur film crew attempting to make a short film, which was very Meta. We also decided on breaking the fourth wall a lot and addressing the camera for comedic effect. When it came to the early paperwork stages we made sure to split the work as evenly as possible, giving each person two jobs each. My secondary part of the group was a camera operator, editor and star. This was mainly due to my experience with a camera and the editing software. Feel the group worked extremely well together as we managed to quickly film and edit our piece without any complications. We made sure to listen to each other and all chip in as much as possible.
